I just ate like 5 Nature Valley chocolate chip chewey granola bars. They have:

28g
120 cal.
25 fat cal
2.5g total fat
.5 sat. fat
21g carbs
2g fiber
7g sugar
2g protein

I'm trying to bulk. Now, based on this, my ? is, with 21g carbs, I thought these would be a great carb intake, but does the 7g sugar offset this? It's not the most sugar in the world, but is definitely more than 0g. I just ate 35g total sugar, but got 110g of carbs, and 10g protein to boot. Any comments?

Ive had those before too. they taste great, and are a kinda good source of carbs (If any other sources arent available i.e. real oatmeal, brown ricesweet potatos etc.) but they are just WAY too low in protein to be eaten alone. eat them with some chicken, tuna, or for some real convienience, beef jerky!!

I ate them w/some sliced chicken breast and tuna. Wasn't really looking to them for protein, but was more concerned with the fact of the sugar. You don't think it's too high?

28g serving size
120 calories
25 fat calories
2.5 total fat
.5 sat. fat
0 cholesterol
45mg sodium
21g carbs
2g fiber
7g sugar
2g protein

Is this better? I think they are in the same order, but I went ahead and included cholesterol as well as sodium. What do you think?
