At this rate I would have to say Kerry has a very good shot of winning. This coupled with a 9/11 commission ruling pre-november (which is sure to be at least somewhat critical of how all the administrations handled terrorism) Bush may be facing an uphill battle. THe economy will probably get better though unless gas prices keep ballooning.

Even if the economy gets better, it's going to be really tough for Bush to find a solid rationale for his reelection that the public will buy if he's not trusted on terrorism/national security. His support on that has seriously eroded in polls.

I really don't think the Average American follows politics closely enough to even remember the whole PDB fiasco by this fall...
