Sometimes you have to make a diet which you can actually afford / live to, if that means eating something other than egg whites it might be the case.

But like someone said in the US you can by eggwhites in a bottle, in Australia you can't however.

Wow, a gallon would be nice. I've only seen 500ml cartons here... Going to have to try some wholesalers!

Plus, a carton of eggs only runs like $1.50. Buying enough eggs for a week would only amount to a few dollars.

I also live in the US where chickens are plentiful and run the streets, but even nice jumbo eggs only cost about $3/dozen. I probably eat six/day of the jumbos (whites only) on average, which is 42/week, or about $10.50.

$10.50 is no big deal.

Whoa...you really can buy egg whites in bottles? Never heard/seen it. Is it where all the milk is?

If you buy a dozen eggs for $1.50 you get
12 egg whites. Each egg white is 3.5 grams of protein

3.5 x 12 = 42 g protein

42/$1.50 = 28g per $1

If you buy a quart of Egg whites it's $4.00 for 21 1/3 egg whites = ~75g protein/$4 = 18g protein per $1

You're getting less than 2/3 the protein with the container, and that's only when a quart is on sale for $4, normally it's much more. It does save time however, and they're pasteurized so they can be added to a shake.

liquid egg whites in bottle are sick.. who could crack all those shells just to get the little bit of white outta each egg? Not to mention fishing out the little impossible to see chips of crunchy shell.. Wow, perhaps the greatest idea when it comes to food!!

As with most things, you are paying for convenience.
