View Full Version : Whey or whey/casein mix for PW drink?

The title pretty much sums it up. I'm almost done my tub of whey and I was wondering if I should just get another tub of whey or go for a whey/casein mix. The ratio of whey to casein in this particular tub is 60:40. The tub of only whey and the tub of whey/casein both have 40g of protein per serving. What would you people recommend/what would be more beneficial?

you really only want casein supplement for your prebed meal.

PWO strictly: Whey + Water + Oatmeal/Dextrose

Casein slows absorption. Whey/casein is better suited as a nightime protein (casein alone isbetter for that)

I wouldn't say [casein] strictly pre-bed, but your PWO shake is ideal :)

True. Casein during the day as part of a MRP would be superior to Whey

cottage cheese and skim milk are great sources of casein (and for those who hate cottage cheese try adding 2 packets of splenda, a dash of cinnamon and vanilla extract and down it with with skim milk)

go with the whey bro .
After a workout ur body well be begging for quick protein absorbsion .
i think that ration of 60/40 whey/caisen would be good like 40min prior a workout .
