I hit the legs pretty hard lately and last week after a heavy leg day, I felt some pain. I thought it would pass but my knee is a bit swollen and walking up the stairs is painful.
What should I do?
Thanks, guys!

see a physio.

mayb try some ITB stretching... you may have some patella tracking issues

Where is the pain?

Is it under the knee cap or right above the top edge? If it is right above the top edge, that sounds like petalla tendonitis. I have the same. It is also known a jumpers knee.

I get it from heavy squating. Unfortunately, I believe laying off the squats is the only way to rehab it. you can ice it at night. NSAIDS also can help. That is what I do. I usually squat 405 but have had to leave those behind for now.

Google petalla tendonitis and you will find good info out there, along with some outlandish remedies.

I think you're right about the jumper's knee. I remember my former boss talking about it when I was still working at the General Hospital.

I hit the legs again today and the pain was really bad right after I did the horizontal leg press.

I also have it, mine's right below the knee cap but I got mine from running. It's a bitch to run now so i really have to lay off the runs, I don't mind it much in the weight room though...

when I was like 17. I went to the doctor and he said it was a growing pain, eventually after I grew out of my teenage years it went away, but yeah it was only on my right kneecap
