Is it a good idea to have some complex carbs pre workout?

Will it just prevent fat loss?

the more productive/forceful/stimulating your workout is, the better you can raise your resting metabolic rate -- and in turn the more fat you'll lose, granted you're not consuming too much calories overall.. this means that exercising in a fasted or starved state won't contribute to optimal strength or training performance gains, which is the ULTIMATE way to lower you bodyfat percent.

therefore, yes. have complex carbs pre-workout.. or stay small & soft.

Im bulking at the moment .
i trained shoulders and calf today and worked out after my breakfast .

2hrs 30 min prio workout = 100g oatmeal , 100g chicken breast , 200g muller rice (choc flavour)ummmmmm .
Kcal = 770 , pro = 47 g , carbs = 103 g

30min prior workout = 2 scoops elite whey , 25g dextrose .
kcal = 310 , pro = 44 g , carbs = 28g

Alan is the man!

Along those lines, I consume oatmeal with a scoop of protein powder, about 45min prior to training...
