Hey phenom2279, do you know if it's lactose free?...Regular milk kills me b/c of the lactose.

lol. lactose is a carb. i assume that the 3g is lactose, and that the 3g probably wouldn't be a problem unless you are seriously lactose intolerant.

I'm not a big milk drinker, but I do buy it time to time to make protein bars, and that carb-free milk is a life-saver.

Can anyone fill me in on where I can find this amazing substance you refer to as "Low Carb Milk"????

I love milk, but it just doesn't fit in my diet in its natural state. Thanks in advance for your answer!

I found it at Wal-Mart; $2.33 or so for half a gallon. It's not cheap!

Yep, just go to your local supercenter. 2.50 per half gallon in my neck of the woods (TX).

Taste is excellent.
Someone on a different forum (Pogue I think) brought up a few good points.

This stuff is mainly regular milk + protein powder. You just aren't getting that much milk, hence the lowered carbs.

So to save money, I just buy milk protein isolate online and mix my own flavorings. I could add soy or whey if I wanted as well. Far cheaper and I can influence the macronutrient profile any way I want. Regular powdered skim milk could also be used in conjunction with protein powders.

It's called Carb Sense, and they make it in nonfat and 2%, it tastes kinda chalky but i drink about a half gallon a day.

Chalky? I don't think so. I definitley is expensive, but its worth it IMO.

Dedicated,

The name of the one I use is "Carb Countdown Dairy Beverage" , and the web site of the company-producer is www.hphood.com

Hope it helps. I personally buy mine at Harris Teeter.
