How much protien in a day should someone get? And is it true too much protien stores as fat?

Depends what you're doing. If you're bodybuilding then between 0.7-1g per pound of body weight are the numbers that fly around.


And is it true too much protien stores as fat?

Protein is calories, so it works just like any other source of calories: if you eat more than your maintenance level, you will gain weight.

Protein will almost never be stored as adipose tissue, that pathway is rarely used. Study more before giving advice.
