What are the chances this happens? Is Bell willing to go anywhere that pays him or does he want to win a title?

No chance he signs a long term deal with the Jets so I don’t see them giving up much for him.

I was really hoping he'd go to the Browns, but it's a tough sell within the division. My guess is the Jets are a solid choice, Patriots look pretty weak right now and the division seems like it's up for grabs.

I thought he could not be traded at this point? How do the logistics work out on this?

- Bell Signs tag with Steelers
- Steelers trade
- New teams pays out the tag??
- new team can't negotiate long term deal until end of season??

I thought there were seriously hurdles for someone to trade for him after the deadline/getting him on a long term deal.

He can be traded but the new team will need to meet his demands before the trade is completed. He doesn't want the franchise tag so the new team has to work out a max contract. He isn't going to want to do a 1 year deal or he'd be playing today.

The trick is no one wants to give up anything of value bc they will be forking out max money to a RB. So you are probably looking at a 4th or 5th rounder IMO. The Steelers can get that next year when they do the compensation picks so why would Pitt trade him for nothing?

Edit: This is just my perspective of the situation

lmfao the last time the colts went all in for a RB in a trade they got trade raped by the browns by Mr. 5'9 "if I fell over forward at the line of scrimmage it would still result in no gain." Trent 1 ypc average Richardson
