View Full Version : Got a tummy while bulking

Hi guys,

I've been training for about a year. I am most definitely an ectomorph and have always struggled to put on weight but have made good progress this year getting up to about 11.5 stone which for me is a big accomplishment. I have tried to keep it a lean bulk but second half of the year I reduced cardio and followed a slightly less lean plan as I felt my weight was not increasing. Still pretty good but was having things like pea nut butter sandwiches. However although I've definitely made gains but also put a fair bit of weight on my belly. I don't really want to stop bulking as I would still like to increase my size but want to try and reduce my belly if possible. My meal plan was:

Protein shake
50g rolled oats with semi skimmed milk and 80g frozen blueberries
2 hard boiled eggs

Potato wedges
Chicken sausages
Broc****

Chicken
Broc****

Peanut butter sandwich on wholemeal bread
24 almonds
Mango/pineapple in greek yoghurt

Before, During and After Workout: Dextrose & BCAA
Before and After Workout: Protein shake

Turkey and lean beef mince with pasta sauce and pasta.

Casein Protein Shake

Thinking of replacing potato wedges with sweet potatos and cutting out sandwich but maybe have wholemeal rice with chicken.

I work out 5 times a week currently. Any advice appreciated.

Start by reading stickie threads, especially how to ask diet critique and how to count calories.

And drop the idea of ectomorph. You were just under eating

Stop fixating on body fat if you want to gain size.

And forget about all of the garbage supplements.
