Hi, new on here so not sure if this is right place to post

Bit of background, naturally I am the skinniest person ever with small joints and find it hard to gain strength. I was on a bulk for about 8 months and gained both fat and muscle.

I decided I needed to lose weight and wanted to look lean and have abs, I’ve been on a cut for past 3 months, I have lost a lot of body fat however abs are still not visible.

I have lost loads of strength also, and each week I can’t progress. And also hit a platea in my weight loss

Should I bulk then cut again later on or carry on cutting?

Thank you

Have you read the stickies? Losing weight and being lean does nothing for abs if you don't have muscle there. Sounds like you need to get on a proven beginner lifting program and eat 200-300 calories over maintenance

I didn’t think the programme was where the problem was as I was making strength gains in the bulk and did build muscle and there is muscle definition on my body just abs

Abs are overrated in my opinion. Focus on gaining overall strength using compound lifts as your baseline. You do this and your core strength will follow.

You bet. Abs are muscles that must grow before they show. Be patient and they will show when they are ready.
