Lately I see a lot of people saying that 10% bf is a chore to maintain and a senseless struggle unless you're a model or something by profession...so for the everyday guy, what should be the target bf% that is sustainable year round?

What bf% should you cut down to before you start bulking?

What bf % should you start cutting again?

There are no hard and fast rules to what you're asking, it's up to the individual and their personal goals.

For me I had the desire to reach 7% but got to 9 and haven't pushed beyond that. 10% is more feasible and I feel fat at 15%. I know a percentage or two might not seem like a big deal but the leaner you get every lb of fat lost makes a difference.

I'm up around 40% now. But I have no desire to be below 15%.
Everyone is different.

All personal preference but I would say 12-15%

What bf % should you start cutting again?

I would say 20% and beyond.

Bf examples charts:

I'd like to be 18-20% on that chart but am probably somewhere between the two 21-26% pics. That's going by the chart visuals, not caliper or DEXA standard which would be higher bf.

12-15% is my target, Probably 25-30% as of right now from looking at the chart.

My goal is ~12% and stay there

My target is 10%, I'm around 20% right now. Once I get to 10%, I pretend to lean bulk to 15% and then get back to 10%... repeat the process until I have a good amount of muscle.

The problem with targeting 12% IMO is you get to it and then it's gone after a couple months. But if you can get to 10%, then after a couple months you're at 12% which is still good. That's why I'm aiming for 10%

Under 20% would be good, ultimate goal is under 15%
