Rip joe flacco

How is Alonso still in the game. Strong officiating. He should be banned and possibly suspended for a year for going full vontaze out there

Full speed it looks like Flaco was going for the first down, then last second he decides to slide cause he knows he won't make it. Alonso probably wasn't expecting Flaco to slide at the end. Watch it full speed, not on replay. Hard to pull back when you think guy is going for first down. Especially if you look, Alonso turns his head last second and takes eye off Flaco.

Lol at Deion Sanders saying it wasn't dirty. The guy took two steps and launched himself after Flacco started to slide.

This, they paused it where Flacco started to slide on the overhead camera, his ass was already on the ground when Alonzo was 3 yards away then lowered his shoulder to the side of his head. He's getting suspended.

The whole sliding rule is stupid anyway. QBs are football players are they not? They should be able to get hit like anybody else.

He won't get suspended, Flacco was running full speed and then slid at the last second.

Lol @ these drama queens ITT. That play wasn't even that bad. Yes illegal, but Joe should have slid earlier. Thats is own damn fault. Its a mans game. If you are scared to get hit you better slide earlier. Bet he will slide earlier next time.

Flacco was asking for it.
He slid way too late to avoid a hit.

In fact he didn't even slide. He just kinda bounced on his ass because he knew he fukked up.
Stupid games, stupid prizes.

I think Flacco should've protected himself by sliding earlier, instead he tried to get more yards giving any defender less time to slow down.

in real time, 100% this.

qb's that dont slide early and are in tackling range when they start to slide should expect to get hit

I'm gonna go with not dirty. Flacco got greedy trying to get extra yardage for the first down and not sliding earlier so he pays for it. Alonso was trying to prevent Flacco from getting the first down and didn't have enough time to react to the slide.

Close call and Flacco isn't Brady so he didn't get it.
Just lol@the offciating in the NFL. It's laughable at best.

kiko already started his attempt to tackle, joe slide late, so the target area moved

I agree with everyone ITT that said Flacco waited until the last minute to slide and Alonso had already committed to the tackle. Full speed pulling up from that is very hard to do. Kiko isn't known to be dirty player.

I was they would stop with the sliding rule. Then QBs will stop running as much which would lead to less injuries.

kids.got.soul
10-27-2017, 06:16 AM
TBH you have to watch it in full speed.. slowing it down is a little unfair. Flacco went down at the last second. Not like the guy could have just stopped in midair to prevent that hit.

Chairman7w

While this is true, it's still a dirty hit.

- Targeted the head
- launched
- hit him late (whether or not he slid a bit late, the fact is he *could* have pulled up on the hit and didn't.

It wasnt that bad, i dont think it was intentional. Kiko was just probably going for the tackle at full speed and flacco slid.

Chairman7w
10-27-2017, 10:27 AM
He didn't target the head.

He lowered his shoulder to specifically hit Flacco in the head. If you don't call that targeting, so be it.

You do realize he gets paid millions of dollars to say stupid "controversial" things like that to get people talking (like you), right? Whether or not he actually believes that crap, who knows, but I would do the same if ESPN or whatever garbage network he works for was willing to pay me large sums of money.

I didn't think it was that egregious. Flacco slid a little late and Kiki committed to the hit. Not saying it was 100% clean but not as bad as some making it to be.

It annoys me that QBs can sometimes take advantage of a defender not knowing if he's going to slide or juke and pick up extra yards (my guy too, no hypocrite).

sCam Newton is the biggest culprit of this. Phaggot always tries to bait defenders when he's sliding to get a flag and then cries like a bitch when he doesn't get one

Not dirty.

Put your self in defenders shoes. QB is trucking full speed, hasn't let up, getting close to first down. You can't know that he's going to slide at the last second. Unfortunate he got injured, but it's impossible to let up on a hit at the last second like that.

Same **** with when a player is going out of bounds. You have no idea if he's going to slow up then hit the defender with a juke when they slow up on the hit.

lol at "kiko going for the head", the guy was aiming low for the tackle, Flacco slid that's the only reason is ****ing head was there. If he was aiming for his head he would have flown over Flacco.

I watched that this morning and must have missed that. He did call Trevathan's hit dirty though, which was very similar to this one.
