Jeremy Lin landed badly during the final 5 mins of the game during a right handed layup. Seemed to land normally but might have broken his right knee. Limped off the floor on his own.

GG

The injuries are just coming left and right in the NFL/NBA and its only the second damn day of NBA. Fuk this season is not looking good

Its like they never stretch or warm up, just jump right into the game full speed.

i think its more fatigue.

stretching and practicing every day or other day insures that they are loose and pretty warm already. the attrition probably wears athletes down more than anything and some athletes are more durable than others.

JLin just isnt as durable perhaps.

Can you imagine working on your body, your speed, your strength, all to improve your game day and day out. Busting your ass off during the off season; never taking a chance to party late into the night so that you can perform come NBA tip off. Then it's all gone. All that hard work, all the sacrifices, all gone.

pro athletes 100% don't rest enough during the regular season (but at the same time how can they if they want to be the best)

- adam silver makes changes to the schedule to reduce fatigue and injuries
- already potentially 2 season ending injuries already

Yeah that's how I see it. Alot of those guys are workhorses outside of games

Hayward was one that really stuck out because that dude improved his game like crazy over the years. Which implies that he is nuts in the gym. Sht sucks

That really sucks. You never wish injuries on anyone but Lin seems like a genuinely good dude (who has already battled a few injuries).... making it even worse.

his reaction was hard to watch. first it was shock, then when he realized he was 'done', he broke down crying. i don't think that was from the pain, unless it was some sort of delayed reaction

i wonder if part of the disappointment with these injuries is that whole process of getting back.
daily rehab and sht. it's a completely different life for that stint

I think he's his last year of his contract

had a pretty decent game too.

Probably lost a ton of money ontop of all the hardwork in the offseason

I couldn't imagine the pain of rupturing my patella tendon.

Gotta be the worst pain of any soft tissue injury you could experience.

Including popping the Achilles.

This one in particular comes to mind of notable PT injuries.

Jimmy Graham suffered a torn patella and at the time the doctors said it was an injury with the toughest rehab and uncertain recovery. It's a couple years later and he hasn't come back 100% physically. The fact Lin will be required to run and jump around on hardwood for 82 games on a repaired patella would be concerning obviously.

InB4 Cavs sign Lin to Vets minimum to get his 10 games of productivity before he re injures himself.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Lin and his family. Tough break. You tell by the video after he got over the shock, he knew his season and possibly his career were over.
