I have started working on guiding muscle. I am starting from literally ground zero where I was underweight and now want to change my health and gain some muscle. I feel like I have made some progress but considering that I have been working for 6 months the progress is not enough. I feel as I have gained fat in my midsection and am scared to increase my intake becasue I feel It will add more. Is that normal for when you start bulking? If I increase my intake will I start seeing more gains? Right now I am eating about 1900 to 2000 calories a day

Unless you're a 4'10 98lbs woman you're not eating enough to grow. You have to eat in a surplus (DAILY) to grow, and focus on heavy compound movements. You're going to put fat on when you bulk regardless. That's why people go through cut and bulk cycles.
