most guys I've seen who get really lean and low body fat % are also skinny.... like 30 inch waists etc.....

what's the point of getting so lean if you just look skinny like you don't even lift under clothing.....

How are you supposed to get low body fat % but still look big?

The big guys you also see probably also have 30" waists. Bodybuilding is about creating an illusion based off proportion. There's no easier or better way to do that than making sure your waist is small. Ed coan had a 34" waist when he was deadlifting almost a 1000lbs. Very, very few people are "cut" and waist sizes above 32".

Cutting is also a slow process. People who go into a 600-1000 calorie deficit are going to lose a lot more muscle than a guy cutting 300-500 calories a day.

Its really simple... have enough muscle mass to not look skinny at low Body fat. Although, its alot harder because you never really know how much you need to loose to really be low BF.

Also, if you just want to look like you "lift" under your clothes... then you will never have to worry about low BF...
