Okay, so I've been reading everywhere saying to count calories and that carbs/fat/protein all has calories.

So let's say my TDEE is 2650. On a bulk I'll increase it by 300. So, 2950 calories daily..

Now the question is, do I count the protein, carbs, etc towards that?

Example:

I eat some chicken that has
Calories: 240
Protein: 34 (136 calories)
Carbs: 25 (100 calories)
Fat: 15 (135 calories)

Do I only count the 240 towards my daily consumption or add it all up (611 calories)

Where did you get the 240 cals from? Where did you get 611 cals from?

136+100+135 = 371.

Don't go by the total calories on nutrition labels as they are usually slightly off. Go by the macros. Make sure you hit .8g/lb protein and .4g/lb fat and fill the rest as you want.

I added the 240 calories with the 371 from the macros making it 611 total IF you count them all together towards your daily intake

I got the 240 calories seperate as if you'd look at a label. The calories is on top while the macros are below that. Was just a demonstration

And the main question was still unanswered. But yes I know it's not exact. But a good estimate.

Generally speaking, if you're eating in a 250-300 calorie surplus. You're going to make VERY slow progression. Why are you afraid of being in a bigger surplus?
