View Full Version : Been on a consistent workout plan (2 months) having a very hard time losing body fat!

I have been working out now for 2 months consistently (4-5x week, about 40 min) I do cardio for about 10-20 min and then I do a class like different stations, fast paced. I have had my body mass checked (very accurate, checked at doctor). I went from 25% body fat to 24.1% body fat. I gained 2.7 lbs of lean mass though. I am not overweight, but I am having an extremely hard time losing body fat. I eat very clean and mostly vegetarian, can someone recommend or give advice on what to do. I know it is a process, I am not looking for a quick fix. Should I use a fat burning aid? I do have hypothyroid it's treated I am on medication. ANY ADVICE?

over all or of a specific food group? I mainly eat vegetables

Do you have hyperthyroidism? maybe but probably not it is very uncommon and most of the people who claim to have it are just lazy and eat to much. But if you think you might then ask a doctor not an online forum

Starting to exercise doesnt effect your BF%, its your diet. If you continue to eat at maintenance calories you will maintain the same weight. Chances are you have no idea how many calories your body needs or how many you are burning. You should read the stickies.

How are you testing your bf%? most likely you are using a cheap machine that spits out a number based off of water weight, its really not a good indicator of your bf% especially if you are under/over hydrated.
