Hello,

Im not sure if i'm doing this right, for weight loss.

I want to lose weight so I researched that the best way to lose weight is to lower your calorie intake and that helps you lose weight.

I am 255 lbs. Ive been shooting for only or close to 1900 calories a day. I use my fitness pal, and some days it says im only getting 1300 calories but i feel full.

I also work out 2 x a day. In the morning on an empty stomach with a five hour I use the elliptical for 35 mins, set to interval, getting my heart rate to 160BPM.

The second time I work out at about 8 at night a few hours after dinner, I do weight lifting for an 1-1.5 hours.

I dont feel like I am losing weight at all, I do feel stronger but my weight isn't really going anywhere.

Any advice helps.

You're not tracking calories correctly. If you were eating 1300 cals(not healthy btw), weight would be falling off of you. Get a food scale, weigh all food raw, track EVERYTHING you eat.

If you're not losing weight, you're eating too much.

If you're new to lifting you'll feel stronger as your body becomes used to better activating muscle fibres to perform certain tasks...

There's a chance you're losing some fat and gaining a little muscle which will also impact the scale, but if you're eating 1900kcal/day while working out twice a day for the length of time you suggested, I'm impressed you have the energy to do so, but you're also going to be absolutely burning through fat... if I laid in bed all day, I need around 2300kcal for everything to function normally, so the maths is obviously wrong somewhere.

Post a typical day of food / drink... including portion size... something's going wrong somewhere.

Thanks for the info, I have never thought about portion size, I was just trying to get my calorie inputs. I have felt like complete crap these last few days, so I wasnt able to work off any of these calories, but this is the general trend of food intake. Here are 3 days worth of logs:
