View Full Version : HOw many carbs to eat ?

Hello,
Im currently 183 cm tall, 95kg male, 28 years.

My goal is to lose weight, but Im not a diet/cardio type of guy, so I started following Greyskull LP, a program I have loved before, its fun and yielded results for me in the past.

Now, according to myfitnesspal, my maintenance should be around 2600 cals, and to lose 0.5 kg/week, I should eat 1900 cals a day. Thats 700 cals deficit, but realistically I do eat around 2000-2100 so thats around 500 deficit, and that should be OK.

However, it is recommended I eat only around 115 grams of carbs a day and 205 grams of protein a day. Now to me, this makes sense for fat loss, however I eat breakfast (oatmeal), have a snack (banana) and lunch (chicken breasts with lunch) and Im closing the carb intake per day. If I were to go throughout the day with almost no more carbs, id be starving pretty much :)

Does these numbers sound right to you guys ?

as much as you can/want and still get decent protein intake and critical amounts of healthy fat

I don't have a carb goal. But after reviewing this past weeks MFP entries, I consume 150-300 g of carbs daily.

How many should you consume?

Well, that's up to you.
