View Full Version : Intermitted fasting and calorie intake : Confused??

Hello everyone;

I'm 34, 170cm and 70kgs.

I'm planning to star intermitted fasting using 16/8 pattern. But i'm confused with macro ratios.

I'm applying Built By Science program which is 5 days a week about 45mins. workouts. I also learn kickbox 2 days a week with 30min warm up and strech, 60mins of class.

BB.com says i should get :

CARBS: 326 G PER DAY.
PROTEIN: 217 G PER DAY.
FATS: 80 G PER DAY.

but another site says i should get :

CARBS : 450
Protein : 123
Fats 61

Which one do you suggest?

Intermittent fasting is probably suboptimal for gaining and retaining muscle. I wouldn't recommend it.

That workout program trains muscle groups only once per week, that's not optimal either.

I suggest eating 4 or 5 meals per day with sufficient protein in each. For your workout Fierce 5 Novice routine is a good one.
