View Full Version : Evening post workout nutrition question

I have classes every day until 3:45pm, and I usually go to the gym straight from class. I usually eat lunch (my pre workout meal) around 1:00 or 1:30, when I have a short break in between classes. When I get home from the gym it's usually around dinner time, like 6:30 - 7:30. My question is should I still have a post workout shake after my workout and then eat dinner, or should I just eat a full solid meal when I get home?

just do whatever helps you hit your macros. Meal timing is not going to make or break if you make adequate gains.

You don't need a protein shake.


Have a bowl of cereal (or a few).

Just eat the meal, no real need for the shake unless you need it to hit your protein needs for the day.
