Is this normal. I have wasted 4 hours of my life cooking food for the whole week ( 7 days ). Cooking, putting the food in the Tupperware and the fridge and cleaning up.

How much time does it take you?

If you think 4 hours to prep a weeks worth of food is a waste I cannot imagine what qualifies as time well spent to you.

So if you made 3 meals per day, for the 7 days in a week, you made a total of 21 meals. Spread out over 4 hours worth of prep time that is 11 minutes spent cooking and cleaning for each meal.

Are you seriously complaining about that?

4 hours? Did you use a slow cooker?

Normally, i'll grill 4 lbs of chicken breasts and 2.5-3 lbs of chicken thighs (which lasts me through the week) and it takes about 30 min in total time including prep/warming the grill. Frozen steamable broccoli - takes 5 min in the microwave, putting salad stuff in a tupperware takes about ~2 min a day.

I usually make about 10-12 meals at a time and it takes me 60-90 minutes

You mean..........you guys don't have your butler cooking for you? I'll send you Alfred on loan!

Michael, do you use a crock pot or a pressure cooker? If you've got the money, invest in one or both, they're great time savers and there are a lot of great dishes that you can prep in them. Imagine, you could prep everything for the week and have real variety using a crock pot in addition to a pressure cooker and using a conventional oven all at once.

Hope this helps!

Note, I don't have a butler.
