For those who might doubt the plan’s intent, you need look no further than a just-released ad via American Future Fund that attempts to portray a pending civil proceeding involving Trump University, a long-defunct entity that had an A+ Better Business rating, a 98% approval mark from its students, but that has been facing a handful of class action civil suits by various attorney’s likely hoping for some short-lived but high-profile fame by involving themselves in a case that has the name Trump attached to it.

Some say they might draft Romney for a third party run if all else fails. Romney would take enough of the vote from Trump to give Hillary the win. Don't think they would do this? They tried in 1980 against Reagan with John Anderson. However, the demographics favored Reagan back then, Trump not so much. He will need every vote he can get.

Would you vote for Mitt either as a third party candidate or the GOP nominee due to brokered convention?

Also - Trump has got to put this Trump University garbage to rest fast. He has a hard time with this stuff. He should have put the donating money to Democrats and 4 bankruptcies arguments to rest, but he can't. He does a very poor job of defending his record. He needs to start hiring advisers ASAP, and just hire a debate coach.

I truly doubt its Romney's plan.

Much, much larger forces are behind this.

The "I was only taking orders" argument died in 1945. But yes, you are right - Romney is a puppet. Trump has got to get ready to go to war and quit slacking off.

All business have failures.

Bill Gates had many failures - Zune, Xbox, Microsoft Bob, Windows ME, list goes on and on. Steve Jobs had tremendous failures as well.

The republicans already shut out Ron Paul in 2012, no reason to believe they won't do the same with Trump.

I keep hearing this all the time but Ron Paul had no chance no matter what.

Would never vote again if Republicans did this, would encourage my kids (should I ever have any) to never vote as it's obviously a farce, a put on show where only contestants hand picked by the powers that be even have a chance at the presidency (if that too isn't already predetermined).

I imagine the Koch brothers have been called in to write some checks. Some political strategists believe Romney/Rubio is in the works. Cruz trying to latch on as a justice. Can't wait for Trump to stump the chit out of this.

how does that even work? you can just show up on the last day and announce your running? but who was missing out on all the debates and questions?.......people had a fit when trump missed 1 debate so no way some loser can just show up on the last day and claim hes running.

If they did that could you imagine the mutiny within the Republican party? Plus that would pull back the curtain a bit too much and wake people up to our scam democracy.

Trump will clear 54%, so there will be no brokered convention. They're thinking that the GOP money donors back a third party with Perry or Romney or something.

Shame they made it nearly impossible for a 3rd party to run after the scare in the 92 election. Good luck getting in on any debates, although I'd like to see it if they could, for the stumping.

Romney is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. There is no reason to think he needs to be anyone's puppet, let alone the GOP establishment.

I don't think Romney wants Trump to be the nominee. Romney probably believes a presidential candidate should act civilly with quiet dignity. The only way Romney would run is if he viewed Trump as a serious threat to the republic and if he was drafted by the anti-Trump crowd. There is no need for him though since Cruz and Rubo-amnesty are in the race IMO.

There is no BBB rating because the university is defunct
The 98% was a website created by Trump

It was less of a "University" and more of a "Learn how to do business" school. It only offered a handful of classes, like wealth management, real estate dealings, etc.... and it offered mentorships. The mentorships were expensive though.

Trump, like all wealthy people, is a target for frivolous lawsuits by people trying to extort money out of him.

In this particular case, people knew what they were signing up for.

Meanwhile Ted Cruz is pro-NAFTA, and cheated Ben Carson out of votes, but hey he's a good Christian because he is "quietly dignified" and Trump is a meanie head

It was a series of real estate seminars and he's being sued because people couldnt make money in real estate when the market crashed.

Meanwhile you can go get a gender studies degree that will accomplish absolutely nothing.

Sounds like fraud actually

"We started looking at Trump University and discovered that it was a classic bait-and-switch scheme. It was a scam, starting with the fact that it was not a university," New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman told CNN's New Day after filing suit in 2013.

Schneiderman's case argues that Trump and Michael Sexton, the former president of the program, engaged in fraudulent, illegal and deceptive conduct, and that although the program promised to offer courses taught by experts personally selected by Trump, the teachers were neither handpicked nor experts.

Trump University's courses ranged from $1,495 three-day seminars to $35,000 "Gold" level programs that allowed for personal mentoring, real estate field trips and access to the expertise that made Trump a billionaire.

Affidavits within the case additionally show some students felt the program consisted of worthless information they could have obtained for free elsewhere. Others said they simply did not receive the services they paid for.

"I have not been able to get in touch with anyone after I signed up for the trump Gold Elite Program," student Kathleen Meese wrote in an affidavit.

Another enrollee, Michele Cintron, who paid $25,000 to have special access to high level mentors said in an affidavit that a "non-existent 'power team" was unable to be reached.
