View Full Version : Stephen Curry is unreal

Shortstop36

He took a role player as in Draymond Green and made him into the defensive player of the year runner up.
He made Andrew Bogut who was considered a bust into the 5th finisher in the defensive player of the year award
He took klay thompson who was a good shooter, and turned him into a good shooter.
He Lead andre igoudala who was a lifetime starter, into a great player off the bench.
He even let andre igoudala live out his lifelong dream of being FMVP, just to boost team morale. Class Act
He took a TV analyst to Coach of the year.

Or he's just a good player who got put in the absolutely perfect situation. Just lol at comparing him to Prime Jordan on ESPN

You can't put Curry over Lebron because he hasn't done it long enough. Right now he's playing better ball but how long is it going to last is the question.

steph curry: 32.1/5.1/5.9/2.6 on 67.6% TS in 34.8 minutes per game.
jordan 1996: 30.4/6.6/4.3/2.2 on 58.2% TS in 37.7. minutes per game

so yes Steph Curry has been unreal. he has been significantly better offensively then 1996 Jordan so the comparisons are valid. its not like Curry has been some slouch defensively either as he's averaging 2.6 steals per game and playing good defense. curry has also led his team to an undefeated 16-0 and doesn't have a prime pippen and prime rodman as well as phil coaching the team. he's got draymond green, klay thompson and luke walton. but yes let's continue to treat jordan like some fabled deity just because some old phucks said so. fact of the matter is curry through 16 games is having a goat tier season and that can't be disputed. current curry destroys 1996 jordan using both raw and advanced stats.

edit: keep in mind that jordan's efficency was even inflated from having a shortened 3 point line. nba had a shortened 3 point line from 1995 to 1997 which is why jordan actually could hit the 3 those years.

it is a brilliant post. through 16 games Curry has been better then 1996 Jordan so why shouldn't comparisons be made? that's sports. deal with it. you phaggots were crying after 10 games. 15 games. and you'll still be crying about when curry is doing the same thing a month from now. and again in april. just like last year when the warriors were just "lucky" right? curry has showed no signs of slowing down. his raw numbers will likely go down because he destroys teams in 3 quarters hence just look how he hasn't played the previous two 4th quarters. also not claiming steals is the only that matters on defense but of course since you have no actual empirical criteria to back your narrative you resort to misconstruing my argument as a deflection no surprise. steals certainly aren't everything but they are very valuable especially on a team like the warriors which feast on fast break opportunities. fast break opportunities many of which are created by curry's steals.

yes easily. cavs would be the #1 seed. phucking lol at a team with curry and love missing the playoffs. curry/mo/jr/love/mozgov with delly/thompson/varajeo/jefferson on the bench is a great team. offensive juggernaut of peace. then when kyrie and iman come back you have curry/kyrie/iman/love/mozgov with thompson/smith/mo/delly/varajeo off the bench. are you kidding me. meanwhile if you put lebron on the current warriors their spacing and seemless ball movement would be crippled by leiso ball and his poverty shooting.

Not true... The biggest reason GS is successful is because of their system which plays to Curry's strengths and masks his weaknesses. Kyrie & Curry would be a liability on defense. Defenders will also now be able to defend Curry a lot better because he won't be receiving the picks & screens like he does in GS.

Crazy to see them passive aggressively wish injury upon a player going through a historic run. Especially considering the only reason lebron has been given the benefit of the doubt of being the best player in the NBA is because other superstars have gotten injured. If they cared about basketball they would just let themselves sit back and enjoy the show.

He is having a Jordan esque season and lebron stans hope the worst because they cant stand anyone getting attention other than lebron. And then when lebron or one of his teammates get hurt, then it is, "we were robbed as fans to watch a great finals" and "you guys are messed up for making fun of an injured player" but wont use that logic when it comes to others.

1st he's mad D. Rose is getting attention and stole an MVP from him in the process (definitely should be mad about that MVP).
Then he's mad Kevin Durant is getting his attention and it's about to be Durant's league (lmao ok…27 years old and we're still waiting).
Now he's mad Curry's getting attention…even though that would make you LeBron haters wrong about Durant.

not quite the level that LBJ reached in 2009 and 2012-2013 seasons.

Apparently getting doubled and choosing to pass the ball instead of just chucking is getting roasted.

yes lol cavs and most teams would rather have Iggy/Barnes shoot open 3s (ended up being mostly corner 3s b/c Draymonds such a good passer off the roll) than have curry iso for 25 footers.

dude is literally unguardable on a switch by a big man.

yes easily. cavs would be the #1 seed. phucking lol at a team with curry and love missing the playoffs. curry/mo/jr/love/mozgov with delly/thompson/varajeo/jefferson on the bench is a great team. offensive juggernaut of peace. then when kyrie and iman come back you have curry/kyrie/iman/love/mozgov with thompson/smith/mo/delly/varajeo off the bench. are you kidding me. meanwhile if you put lebron on the current warriors their spacing and seemless ball movement would be crippled by leiso ball and his poverty shooting.

Lol, what in the actual fukc of fukcs am I reading right now????
