I just started a cut 5 days ago and lost 3 pounds cutting at about 3800 calories a day. So my questions are when should I drop my calories and by how many per week? Lastly how long does it typically take to loose an inch off your waist. If my question seems redundant to you I'm sorry it's my first time cutting and I don't want to **** it up.

Look for a 0.5 - 1% decrease in weekly bodyweight (no more or less. So at 190lbs you'd want to start losing around 1.9 pounds the first week. Adjusting calories every 2 weeks is a good idea, cutting calories by 10% every time your bodyweight stalls.

So if I get down to 189lbs and am stuck there for two weeks. I would just recalculate my tdee and find 10% of that?

That's another way of doing it, even though 100-200 calories is just too small of a drop for the majority of people. Might work for some females. Percentages are better in this case.
