View Full Version : Help! Just started sprinting and loosing fat

Hey Guys

First post here and needed some input. I started sprinting using my elliptical machine. I usually do 15-20 seconds sprints using about 80-90% output and then jogging for 40 seconds and then repeating about 8-16 times. I am concerned that I will be loosing strength and muscle. I have been doing this for about 1 month now and do the routine 2-3x a week.

I already see inches coming off my belly which is great. During my bodybuilding workouts I do notice a bit of a dip in my energy level when I get to about 30 minutes of my 60 min lifting routine. My goals are to increase my muscles size and get ripped abs. I don't want to end up having a small waist, which would be great but then also have a smaller frame. I have done this many times before where I actually look smaller overall and that always frustrates me.

Any input would be appreciated.

As long as your strength goes up, you're on track. If you like your ripped frame is a different question.

Any details about your diet? Calories? Macros?
