View Full Version : Count Protein in Preworkout Amino Acids?

My home-made preworkout is:

8g Beta Alanine
4g L-Tyrosine
4g Citrulline Malate

Should I count this as 16g of protein towards my daily macros? I don't know if it's absorbed the same way as whey protein.

If you consume it, count it, you will absorb it. Or don't count it...just stay consistent. I don't count my creatine, but that's only 5g of protein (20 calories). I'd count 16g for the sake of meeting my minimums easier.

You will not be counting individual amino acids towards your whole protein total.

Not to mention your BA dose is unnecessarily high while your CM dose is low.
