View Full Version : Reverse diet gone wrong

Hi all,

was dieting for around 12 weeks and got pretty lean weighing 173lbs around 5 ft 10. I went on holiday ate rubbish and drank shed loads and weighed around 173lbs when I got back. Since been back I didnt really get back on track and wasn't tracking anything. 2 weeks later and I'm weighing around 181lbs with macros of 300 carbs 200 protein and 70 fat (trying to start lean bulk).

I still have definition in the ab region but do feel lot fuller and not as lean as i was. Obviously i haven't reversed dieted correctly leading to increase in weight.

My question is shall i just stay with these macros and track my weight from now (wanting to gain at a slow rate) or maybe do a mini cut?

any suggestions will be welcome.

Stick with the macros. Let things level out. Lean bulk from here.

For most guys ~2 pounds per month is a good rate of weight gain for lean bulking.

Adjust your macros so that you achieve that rate. If you gained 8 pounds in 2 weeks you're probably eating too much.
