hi all

Recently got into cycling, plan to go twice a week once being a long ride about 1.5hrs.

Looking at cycling forums the nutrition isn't really based on maintaining muscle mass (not that i have that much)

Just wondering if there are any cyclists here that also try for upper body muscle as well and what you would eat before during and after a ride?

I get up and go straight out but eating right before seems to be ok.

I ride a fair amount, and usually keep a protein bar in my camel bak or seat bag. Once in a while I will get all weak feeling mid ride and stop at the grocery for a snack. I start with a plum or peach, if I still feel weak get a snickers.
