I eat a lot of dairy products, mainly cottage cheese and yogurt (which I mix with whey) and rely partly on them for my protein intake ( with eggs, meat and fish). Presently I'm trying to reduce my bodyfat and get leaner and I read somewhere that because of the lactose (milk sugar) they contain dairy products were not too recommended when trying to lean out. In how far should I reduce / completely avoid daily products while I'm cutting ?

There's no reason to remove dairy from your diet unless you have a condition.
