It's pretty baffling. Chris Bosh, Love, Griffin > Aldridge.

Glad we decided we didn't want him. You don't want to lock a player like that up for long term.

10 boards a game is a bad rebounder? takes bad shots yet career fg percentage is .485? he's a stud

He is a statistically great defender. Pretty much the opposite of flashy overrated Deandre Jordan.

OP isn't even a Laker fan.

He just has the basketball knowledge that some people lack. If you know basketball, you know Aldridge is highly overrated.

Aldridge wouldnt make them a playoff team. Lakers are better off getting another high draft pick and clearing cap room and make it possible for 2-3 max players to team up in LA when kobe retires

LMA is a star.... but dude lucked into the EXACT right time to be a FA.

Teams with cap space to burn.... Teams looking to lock up guys before the cap goes up.... fits the prototypical PF mold in today's NBA (can hit the outside shot and hit FTs) and isn't horrible defensively.

Kick in the balls for POR fans for sure but I can't be mad at the dude for wanting to win and playing for arguably the best organization in the NBA of the past 2 decades.

Every other team in the WC just chit themselves lol.

career playoff true shooting%- 49.4. shot 33% in the playoffs last year. ts of 52.8 and 50 the last 2 years. dude is extremely overrated.

bruh. u wot. LMA was the best free agent this off season (considering he wanted to leave). of course everyone was dialed in. Marc gasol and love were staying. Its not like durant is a FA and people are following LMA instead.

10 boards are inflated by Damian Lillard shooting like 20% all season.

the guy has range and can shoot.

dont care if its a low percentage shot, it affects spacing which helps his teammates.

lmfao tried so hard to get him, kobe + all out presentation couldn't sway him... "Glad we decided we didn't want him"

lmao, Laker's won't win another ship in our lifetime

People are enamored with a 6'11" player who can hit a jumper.

nothing else about his game is impressive.

The next Duncan being mentored by Duncan himself = another generation of Spurs finals appearances and championships.

Meanwhile nobody with a brain or talent wants to be a part of Kobe's team lol

That nikka is 30. He's next after Duncan to retire. That's it.

I'm just saying he's being overrated. If they get David West I have them winning the chip, but otherwise trust me the Spurs won't be getting chit next season.

lol.

im not gonna sit here and blast at LMA for dumb chit.

lets be honest, this was a good ass pick up for Spurs.

he provides benefits in specific situational offensive scenarios that Spurs lacked or needed more support in.

the guy can play high post and low post effectively, if you leave him open from deep 2, he is draining the shot. there isn't much that defenses can do to guard it without compromising a lot on their end. its the same argument i use for all versatile scorers, im not gonna act like LMA doesnt bring some game to the table that's not worth being noticed just because he didnt sign with the lakers.

worst argument is the "wrong side of 30"

skilled players peak around 33 ish. it doesnt appear on stat sheets for the convenience of most people on here that dont try to bother to understand anything beyond stat sheets, but its there in their game play.
