View Full Version : Muscle to height ratio?

Does anyone know pretty accurately what muscle mass increase is needed to look proportionally the same as height increases for the average Men's Physique athlete? For example If I had someone who was 6'2" alongside someone who was 5'8", then if the taller guy walked back until they appeared the same height, they would appear the same in muscularity as well.

It depends on the person's structure and proportions.
I think roughly people say every inch you should around around 8-10lb?
In terms of the people I know.. most 6'+ physique guys weigh the same, maybe 5-10lb more, than the gym rats around 5'8.. but often are a good couple % lower year round.

No one can really say.. I assume you are asking for yourself in comparison to another athlete?

well i am 6 3 and 170 so check my bodyspace and see for urself, ive been trainin for 7-8 years now

I'm guessing by eye, you can see someone is proportional or not?

1 kg bodyweight for every cm above 1 meter is good IMO.

E.g. 183cm guy should weigh 83kg (ripped), a 190cm guy should weigh 90kg, etc..

Body frame is another huge aspect, shorter guys tend to be more broad/wide, it's all genetics.
