Okay so been reading on here for a couple of months I'm currently around 200lb 5ft9 and 26% body fat. Aim to eat around 2200 calories. I do mainly weight training and have been for last month or so. Should I cut right down first then bulk up or build a solid foundation with the weights then cut down. I know I will loose some body fat and weight doing what I'm doing now but just wanted to get someone else's opinion on what the best way to go is.

I don't think bulking is a good idea at 26% body fat. Cut down first to 10-15% then do a lean bulk.

I'm not bulking I'm eating probably maintenance maybe slightly under but was thinking if I should cut down and increase cardio then go heavy on the weights. I am making gains with muscle but belly fat not going at moment

26% is pretty high. You just started lifting?

It rarely makes sense to do anything other than cut when you're over 20% bodyfat. The only exception might be a dude that's already cut down from 35 or 40% or something. If this is your starting point, just cut.

LOLOL i think he meant 16%. either way, you're 5'9 @ 200. go ahead and cut brah
