hi there, i just started lifting, but from alot stuff i did read and a old experience of 5 months in gym im worried more about my diet than workout, specially because i do work in macdonals and for now i cant afford to waste money outside and ignore free meals.
I WONT LIE! my first week of work i did eat like a stupid pig, i felt my stomach exploding, i stopped it since there, "from the bad things took the best" , started using my points to a bigmac without sauce and taking out the middle bread to reduce calories, a salad with chicken tomato and cheese and a glass of water and a apple also from macdonals.
Im wondering if this will affect alot my performance and gains, specially because im very close to the body type called endomorph, im not truly fat, im even muscled on shoulders and chest, but have some fat on my legs and abs, i do get fat very easily but i feel i burn them also fast, im just hoping some advices to know if im doing it right, not bad, or absolutely terrible for be eating it! Thanks for support

No one here will be able to tell you if you are doing right, bad or absolutely terrible for eating it. In the end it depends on your overall calorie intake. I could eat 3 Big Macs a day, but that would also mean that I won't be 'allowed' to eat anything else that day. Calculate your macros and try to fit those meals in there. Start with reading the stickies, especially calculating and counting macros.

Nevertheless I personally don't like eating that kind of food because it is processed with so much Sodium and other stuff.

As the other guy says keep track of your macros. If you want to lose weight go a few hundred under your usual, if you want to gain, do the opposite.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say even counting; even doing IIFYM; eating McDonalds every day is probably not going to help "your gainzzzzzzz."

I honestly don't think eating McDonalds every day is healthy, especially if you're eating to the point of a distended belly (that's not eating, that's binging, sir). I highly believe in balance; McDonalds does not practice this at all.

Fast food (as mentioned above) is extremely processed, full of exorbitant amounts of fat, sodium, trans-fat, and really, who knows what else. While a fast-food trip every once in awhile isn't bad, I would never suggest anyone actually eat it daily, nor make it their nutritional plan.

Eating better than McDonalds doesn't have to be expensive, there's a lot of relatively cheap foods out there.

Don't they have like chicken breast salads there now? I wouldn't go straight for the big macs if I were you...

im on the road a lot and sometimes fast food is my only option.

I really like mcdonalds grilled salads and chick filas wheat chicken wrap. 330 calories, 15 grams of fibre, and good macros. I get that with a 12 piece grilled nuggets and its like 60 grams of protein for under 550 calories and very filling.

also wendys grilled apple pecan chicken salad with a bowl of chili is very good.

like others said, keep an eye on sodium but the good news is lots of chains are offering more grilled and salads

Yes if I don't have any other option I always take the Grilles Southwest Chicken salad without dressing, the lime on top has to do it. But wait, you can get the nuggets grilled? Never thought of that!

And I totally agree with LollyLifts2015!

At the end of the day it comes down to calories and if you show a little restraint, you can regularly eat at fast food places.

At Burger King you can buy grilled chicken pouches. You can buy one or two of these and a side salad with a diet soda.

you can get the nuggets grilled?

Is it the garbage nugget with 50% breading that they actually grill or is it actual whole chicken that is just bite sized?

Btw I'm talking about chick fila grilled nuggets and they are cut up chicken breasts. 200 calories for 12

Why don't you eat the dressing at McDonald's? I love it and it only has 100 calories. Even if you do half like me that's 350 calories for a meal

hahaha, awesome! one question (I'm kind of new at posting in the threads) - how do you attach a picture to your comment? I always have to upload it so people have to click on it..

Ah, I thought you were talking about the actual Chicken Nuggets. I don't know, think it's habit, I'd rather use those 100 calories for nutellaaaa!

Just put cursor over image, right click, copy image location, then paste that in your response and add the img tags before and after the url that you just pasted, so it will look like this (without the underscores):

[_ img]http://i52.tinypic.com/2iifuzb.jpg[/img_]

^^ I had to add the underscores before the image tags or else it would have posted the image
