But who was Nutrition ?

i've been eating more carrots lately, and also noticing a little better definition in my shoulders.

therefore the answer is: carrots.

Heavy push presses, high pulls, hang clean and press, and numerous variations of side raises. This is assuming you're eating yo grow

Mine aren't "big" but OHP and strict heavy pressing made them develop.

I wanted to focus on getting my shoulders as wide as possible so I lift them on carb-up days specifically.

As far as the lifting portion goes, I use periodization and varying changes in compound movements vs isolated. I will do all compound, say, on Monday then isolated on Thursday. If I did 9-12 rep ranges one week, I will do 15-20 then next and maybe 2-5 the next and 21-30 the week after that.

Not really any special routine or excercise, proper nutrition is more important the results come along with it.

My shoulders saw the best mass development when I dropped all the crap like lateral and front raises, and concentrated on heavy compound lifts for a solid 2 months. My only exercise specifically for "shoulders" was heavy overhead (dumbbell) presses.

what made the biggest difference for me was getting some resistance bands...brought them into work do some raises and such few times throughout the day, when im bored or what ever.

^^^so much this
same here, dropped the accessory delt stuff, supersetted some heavy OHP + wide grip upright rows and I saw the most growth

My nutrition is almost perfect. I was 130 underweight before now im at 180.

So to all of you telling me to eat better and it will grow you can leave this thread with your pointless opinions. I came here to ask for opinons not some dumb crap like the first few posted.

Certainly no exercise found in the nutrition section made my shoulders big lol. Ok eating enough calories helps. The exercise that did it most for me is wide grip upright rows.

Since my shoulder surgery there are certain exercises that I just can't do any more. I abandoned the wide grip rows, but may try them out again, light weight first to see if I can do them pain-free.

I would probably avoid it altogether. Can you do OHP? They're pretty darn close to the same exercise, its just that wide grip upright row hits a bit more side delt. A basic combination of OHP, lateral raises, and a rear delt movement (preferably a compound) should do the trick. Careful not to overdo front delts. Side and rear delts have a much bigger impact on aesthetics than a lot of people seem to realize.
