Empty stats on a horrible team of peace

brb +/- of -16 tonight. anyone who watches the games knows he does nothing on offense and defense he always gets overpowered by bigger players. his only upside is his speed which will go away if he plans on gaining weight in the future which he should be

Have watched 5+ 76ers games this year cause they are usually lulzy as fuk, hilarious though that a guy's name who is sdboxscore is calling out other people for not watching games, LOL

The guy is a rookie he needs time..

Kawhi Leonard couldn't shoot and dribble in college..Now he is the spurs best player and leading scorer..

I obviously don't know if Noel will improve to that point but damn OP give the kid a break.

That awkward moment when OP finds out Noel is in the middle of a historic defensive rookie season.

OP, just admit Noel was making Pau his bitch until it went to OT, when Noel was gassed + playing with 5 fouls.

Also, RIP Tony Snell :

And Noel is already

- A good PnR defender
- Elite rebounder
- Elite paint defender
- Good Post defender
- Elite shot blocker and help defender..

It's only going to get better for him.

At worst he becomes a great defender that has trouble scoring..That is still pretty darn good.

Plus/minus is a useless stat for the most part.

No it isn't..When used properly it's one of the better stats out there.
better than Raw for sure...

AS>Raw stats.

1. It looked like there were 3 Noel highlights in the clip you posted. Yup, garbage.
2. LOL @ OP calling others box score watchers and then posting +/-.
3. I'll never fault a rookie for getting scored on by someone that's been doing it for 10+ years at the level Gasol has.

AS>Raw stats.

Sixers are a terrible team and lose every game, obviously the +- stat is going to show that in Noel's stat lines.

Noel is #2 in defensive box =/-, and #8 defensive rating anyways. There is no need to be upset.

I said when used properly...

Obviously Plus and Minutes is terrible if you use it by itself. Advanced stats is supposed to supplement and support raw stats..

A player with good raw stats but awful advanced stats but is playing for an OK team for example is most likely a ballhog and terrible defensively..Obviously you have to xonside minutes too and teams..

But Plus and Minutes is a great supplement to the otherwise super misleading raw stats..A. Stats can be very misleading too if used by itself.

He will never develop an offensive name. His career ceiling is a defensive specialist. That's what the Sixers have to "rebuild" around.

Lol at people thinking he is on the team for his offense. Do you even basketball?

Yes Pau, a likely HOFer, scored on a rookie. Riveting lol just mad it took to over time to beat a bunch of kids. Bulls are contenders bro lol

Don't forget Embiid and Saric who have not even hit the floor, along with another top 2-3 pick this year and the heat's 1st rounder not to mention God knows how many picks in 2016 (I believe they have the Lakers which will likely be high). There's potential.

You're giving him way too much credit if you assume he even watches basketball other than on SportsCenter.

I'm not sold on Embiid. Lazy 7 footer with foot issues already. He hasn't played against NBA competition at any level (summer league, pre season, season) so you can't even call him good yet.

Foreign "stars" are the biggest risk you can take. Half of them don't even come to the NBA. Everyone thinks they're going to find the next Dirk Nowitzki, when in reality, it's the next Andrea Bargnani.

Imo, the only true piece that have right now is Noel. The rest of the roster is replaceable at this point. Embiid, and Saric are HUGE risks and how they play versus NBA talent is to be determined.

They better hit BIG in the upcomimg drafts or they're going to be stuck in the basement for a while when Noel etc gets paid.

it literally seems like you were having a bad day, then watched the highlights on sportscenter, then chittalking on a rookie that's actually doing very well and has huge potential.

LOL u stay mad OP, stay mad

Basically this. I'm not saying he's gonna be a complete bust but his ceiling is a lot lower than most people think. Imagine pairing him up with Embiid and if Embiid's offensive game isn't ready either, it's gonna be a trainwreck

lol @ how buttrustled everyone is over this post. He's the only rookie I've shiit talked this year because he's completely overhyped.

Not a bad effort though, I'll give you that. Good deflection on the lack of basketball IQ though.
