View Full Version : I'm tired of all the love Russell gets

Seriously, it's ridiculous, he's a good QB I'm not denying that... BUT he is nothing without that D or running game. People act as if he is leading them to Super Bowl championships... LOL.

Teams win championships... so even if Rodgers wins this year, it's not just him, but he does have a much bigger impact on his team than Russell does on the Seahawks.

It's ridiculous to think after this year Russell could have more rings than Rodgers, Manning, etc. but he is NOWHERE NEAR THE QB THOSE 2 ARE or were(in Mannings case).

Put Russell on the Packers, Patriots, Colts, and those teams are not where they are right now.

RUSSELL IS FRICKING OVERRATED AS HELL AND ONE ANNOYING SOB

Teams win championships NOT QBs. That's exactly why Brady is overrated and Russell soon will be. That's also the reason why Rodgers=GOAT and Manning>Brady.

Nobody is pretending Wilson is leading our Seahawks to championships.

He's the QB of the team, and a pretty frigging good one, but it's the team as a whole that's the reason why we're at the NFC championship game again.

And can we put this 'stick Wilson on the *insertteamhere* nonsense to rest? Wilson plays perfect in the Seattle system. He will not be as effective in another system, almost no other QB will be as good as Wilson in the Seahawks system.

Brb thinking Brady or Manning is going to tear it up passing to superstar wide receiver Doug Baldwin instead of Gronk, Jordy, DT, Dez, or anyone else that all the other good QBs have.

lol what? He was carrying OKC while Durant was out until he busted his knee. People give him flack all the time but without him the Thunder would be a first round exit every year.

Kearse, Baldwin and Helfet all undrafted. Willson is the only target he has who was drafted, and that was in the 5th round. He managed to throw for 270 and 3 TD's against the Panthers who've had the 2nd best D the last few months.

All he does is makes plays..

Yea Westbrook is a beast, 15 boards and 17 assists, triple double, that was great.

Russell Wilson though, while a really good QB, DOES NOT HAVE THE SUCCESS HE HAS HAD WITHOUT THAT DEFENSE AND LYNCH

Wilson isn't perfect but he's very good at what he does. No reason to knock the guy except that he plays for Seattle.

wilson getting all the credit for the teams success now? genuinely the most potato thread ive read all day. its one thing to hate the hawks, but to go into such inaccurate/obvious potato description is on another level. brb he wouldnt have won without a good team, mind=blown.

Against QBs who have won at least one Super Bowl, Russell Wilson is 9-0 in the regular season and playoffs. Wilson is 2-0 vs. Eli Manning; 2-0 vs. Drew Brees; 2-0 vs. Peyton Manning; 2-0 vs. Aaron Rodgers; and 1-0 vs. Tom Brady. In those nine games, Wilson has thrown 15 TDs, 4 INTs, and has a passer rating of 104.7.

Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson are the two highest-rated passers in playoff history ... but did you know that Wilson (109.6) ranks ahead of Rodgers (105.3) on this list? Bart Starr (104.8) ranks third, while Kurt Warner (102.8) is fourth.

Lol you are a fool, obviously he wouldn't have won without a good team but he gets too much credit because he doesn't carry any load on that team, he had GREAT team around him. Just a great manager.

However, Rodgers is a huge reason the Packers won the Super Bowl in 2010, but obviously had a good team around him.

Russell Wilson ain't doing SH*T without a historically great defense

My issue is people knocking Rodgers, knocking Romo, knocking Manning(albeit he does choke a lot in the playoffs) for only doing as well as they have in the playoffs but act like Tom Brady is the GOAT with his 3 rings. Brady didn't win those three rings, he had a great defense with him those 3 years.

Rodgers has been balling it up with a lower tier defense every year but the one time he has even a solid D he wins the Super Bowl.

Wonder what's going to happen when the seahawks have the highest paid QB and 3 of the highest paid defensive backs on the same team

Most high profile QBs have to lead the team without the luxury of a lot of help because they demand so much of the teams salary cap, Russell hasn't had to do that yet

Okay Manning is a bad example since he'll make anything work but lol @ thinking Brody or Romo will be the best QB in the league playing behind that line given those poverty WRs

Brady has made a career out of throwing to hacks.

Rodgers had one of the worst o-lines his first 3ish seasons and still balled out with efficiency. He can't move as well as Wilson but he can navigate the pocket just as well as Wilson and everything extra he can do with his arm shows why he is not only the best QB in the league... but the GOAT.

He shouldn't need to win another ring to show why he is the GOAT but 3 or so more seasons at this level of play and there is no question Rodgers is the GOAT with how well he throws the ball from any angle/position and puts it on a dime whether in the pocket or sprinting to his left.

NO QB IN HISTORY CAN PASS LIKE RODGERS AND THAT IS WHY HE IS THE MAFUKKIN GOAT.

Championships are the number 1 goal, but it's a team game to win those. 1. Rodgers 2. Montana then you can do whatever with other QBs like Brady, Manning, Marino, etc.
