View Full Version : Is Adrian Peterson the strongest RB in NFL history?

Watched an interview earlier where some of his teammates were saying he squats more than linemen on his team. Said things like he reps 500 lbs on squat. Pretty beastly and I believe it. Peterson is jacked as fuk. Can't wait till he comes back to the NFL.

Dont know alot of backs number but off the top of my head I would think

Eddie George
Terrall Davis
Bo Jackson
Herchel Walker
Jermome Bettis
Natron Means
Jamal Lewis
Mike Alstott

and probably more I'm forgetting could all be in the convo (again, dont know their numbers, just looking at their style of play)

i'd guess that there'd be some RBs that just weren't superstars that were crazy strong.

also, bo could probly hold his own

Eddie Lacy looks pretty strong too. I'd add him to that list.

dude apparently benched 700, with a teeny bit of help and no pause but still holleeee chit.
if this dude had gone down the powerlifting road, there is no doubt in my mind he'd beiting 750+ raw, as the worlds best bencher.
but something tells me the vid is fake

One of these guys is the first one in last one out of the gym. He's probably the strongest.

Bo Jackson was so naturally strong that he messed his leg up by ripping it out of its socket by breaking a tackle. Anybody even a little bit weaker would have went down. No doubt strongest RB ever.

Not sure how accurate this is, but I read Barry sanders would squat 600 for reps
After a game

Based on the size of his quads, it's believable

Alstott squatted 575 at Purdue so it's pretty believable AP could do that.

His speed / burst to strength ratio is insane but I think Trent Richardson is stronger

When he was a rookie at Alabama he was putting up crazy numbers so I'm assuming since he has been in the NFL he has got stronger

In talking current backs tho, don't know enough about past RB strength numbers to comment on em

Holds record for RB's at Texas w/a 614lbs squat. Greatest waste of RB of all-time. Not like he gives a **** though lol.

First name I thought of
Benches over 475
Squats 600
Power Cleans over 365

coaches at bama wouldnt let him max out
