He says he will give congress 6-7 weeks to pass a bill, or he will use executive order. All this before the newly elected congress takes session.

Says he hears the people who voted, but also says to the 2/3 of you who didn't vote I hear you too.

A desperate move to make the Republicans look like the mean guys and gals, that don't value the illegal vote. He's trying to shore up some multimillion votes for the Dems in 2016.

Congress to Obama: You've got 6-7 weeks to straighten up or you get impeached.

I am sure Hilary will appreciate that bullet point on their resume come 2016.

Then we would have to put up with Biden. Unless we boot him to and then McConnell would take over. Well played sir.

Think immigration is bad, get a load of this

The reason for Iran to sign any deal is to get an end to US sanctions — but Congress, if it feels the deal doesn’t do enough to end Tehran’s rush to become a nuclear- weapons power, might refuse to repeal the sanctions.
But this week, in a White House leak to a favorite news outlet, The New York Times, we learned that the Treasury Department now claims Obama can make the sanctions disappear without Congress.
Huh?
Neatly nestled after Nov. 4 (the midterm elections) and before January (when the new, almost certainly more Republican, Congress is sworn in), it couldn’t be more perfectly timed to sneak a fast one by unruly Capitol Hill.
As a diplomat from one of the six parties involved in the talks told me recently, “It’d certainly seem” that the deadline was designed with the US political calendar in mind, that is to give Obama more flexibility in making a deal.
But now, with Democrats almost as resistant as Republicans to any Iran deal that seems likely, it’s hey, let’s just bypass Congress altogether.

The Obama administration has agreed to allow Iran to operate 6,000 centrifuges to enrich uranium, up from a proposed ceiling of 4,000 reported two weeks ago, as part of negotiations for a nuclear deal, according to a website approved by the Iranian government.

Condoleezza Rice warns President Obama on immigration

Condoleezza Rice said on Thursday that if President Barack Obama wants to tackle immigration in his last two years in office, he can’t do it through executive actions.
“We can’t have a circumstance in which we are going after a problem as meddlesome and potentially divisive as immigration by executive action only, this has to go through the people’s representatives,” the former secretary of state said in an interview with Brian Kilmeade of “Fox and Friends.” “That’s our system, that’s the Congress.”

Obama is bluffing. If he was going to do amnesty by himself, he would have already.
He keeps making threats but never does anything.
And he won't.
Anyone who passes amnesty will kill their party.
Obama is hoping he can scare the Republicans into doing it.
They won't.

A. They decided their opinion was worthless, so why should anyone else care?
B. There's no way to know what their opinion was (because they chose to be silent), so how can you make any statement or assumption about it?

Well, you were the one saying that their voice was not heard.
Everyone has the right to vote. If they don't bother, that's their problem and it is also a problem for the candidate if he/she cannot get the vote out.

Either way, Democrats lost big and so did Mr Obama. There's no way around it.

Rep. Salmon Letter Urging Appropriations Committee to Block Executive Amnesty Proposals

Rep. Salmon Letter Urging Appropriations Committee to Block Executive Amnesty Proposals

Dear Chairman Rogers and Ranking Member Lowey,

As the House continues to deliberate and draft appropriations legislation before the current continuing resolution expires on December 12, 2014, we write to encourage you to include language that would prohibit funding for the President’s reported intentions to create work permits and green cards for undocumented immigrants currently in the United States.

There are currently millions of undocumented immigrants living within our borders. Recently, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a procurement request for 34 million work permits and green cards over the next five years. President Obama has spoken publicly and privately about his intentions to use executive action to create these work permits for those who are here illegally. This would be in direct violation of U.S. law. As you know, the Congress has the power of the purse and should use it as a tool to prevent the President from implementing policies that are contrary to our laws and the desire of the American people.

We respectfully request that as you work to finalize the year-end funding legislation that language be included in all relevant appropriations legislation for FY 2015 to prohibit the use of funds by the administration for the implementation of current or future executive actions that would create additional work permits and green cards outside of the scope prescribed by Congress. We thank you for your efforts with this legislation and for your consideration of this important request.

Sincerely,
