View Full Version : Peyton Manning complains even after winning the game

Peyton Manning was up 14 points on his division rivals late in the fourth quarter during Thursday night's win, but he wasn't happy. At least not with the scoreboard operator.

Here's Manning screaming after a late false start when the crowd wasn't behaving to his expectations:

Manning was still not happy after the game.

"I have no problem with our fans. Our fans are great. I've got a problem with our scoreboard operator," Manning said. "I'm gonna have a little talk with him. I'm not sure what he's doing.

"He was playing music, showing people -- showing players dancing, getting the crowd fired up while we had the ball. I don't think we should be doing that. I don't think we should be showing their quarterback on the sideline. I thought that was kind of disrespectful. Our fans are great, our fans are loud, so the scoreboard operators ... it wasn't his best night."

As great as he is, he's one of the biggest whiners in NFL history.

He's clearly just trying to save face for being so pissed at the fans. But whatever, if Nick Foles does what Manning has done he could personally bitch-slap every fan leaving the stadium.

Manning is competitive, which is why he was upset with the fans. He had the ball and was trying to score. This is what makes him a great QB. Get over it.

Not even a big Manning/Broncos fan, but trying to turn this into a 'H8 Manning' thread is ridiculous.

no, hes mad at the scoreboard operator for encouraging the fans to scream and cheer before manning calls a snap. look at indie, the crowd usually quiets down before luck calls a play because manning has taught them

He isn't mad at the crowd. If you listen to the whole interview he says he's specifically upset that the scoreboard operator was trying to pump the crowd up in the middle of them trying to run a play which made it very hard to commincate. The board operator should have half a brain and do that chit when the home team is on defense or on commercial breaks.

3 Super Bowl rings on a team that trades away all your assets and a coach that wants to show how big his dick is by playing late round draft picks and undrafted free agents.. vs. a guy with 1 super bowl ring, beating only rex grossman, the quickest safety in nfl super bowl history on a botched snap, and more playoff chokes than I can count while being on teams with top tier talent, multiple hall of fame receivers, great tight ends and good lines.

Instead the noise caused a false start which resulted in a 3rd and 5.

Manning has zero SB wins since 2007. He has 2 appearances since then.

So does brady. You have literally no idea what you're talking about. The window you would need to use to make what you are saying true is so tiny that is voids anything of worth you're trying to say here lol

I never said one was better, because I love to watch them both. I'm just pointing out that Peyton not winning a Super Bowl in the past 5 years doesn't bolster Brady, and everyone still has bradys nuts in their mouth. No one ever mentions his average playoff record in recent history. It's been a decade.

We talking about playoffs?

Cuz Manning was one and done his first year with Denver despite big numbers and #1 seed.

Pats have been in the AFCCG how many years in a row now?

Neither QB has won a SB so let's not pretend Manning is suddenly blowing Brady out of the water and Brady has had a much inferior team to work with as of late and has done much more with it.

They're both 4-4 since 2009. (Brady is 4-5, played in more games, Manning hilariously benefits from not having to play a season)

What are you even trying to say here. Manning is not MORE successful lol

Brady has 2 one and dones in his career. Manning has 7.

If you go neck and neck in their playoff careers, it's not close. Even in this recent window, Manning has basically just pulled even with a FAR superior team than what Brady has.

Manning still has an overall LOSING playoff record. 11-12 vs 18-8 (the best ever btw)

Imo Manning is the goat, but i understand why some would favor Brady.

But saying that Brady is doing 'more with less' is just straight bull. He's doing less, with less.
And who was E. Sanders last year when he played for the Steelers - he sure wasn't racking up those 100 yard games.

What do you expect? Manning is a perfectionist. It's a double edged sword. On one hand, such a mindset has led to a lot of personal and some team success for him over the past 15+ years. On the other hand, it causes him to look down on the people who aren't carrying their lunch pails to work with them and sitting in the film rooms 30+ extra hours a week over everyone else. Apparently, even the sound and scoreboard people aren't excluded from feeling his wrath when things aren't going the way they should.
