How exactly do they share any parallels with the Cowboys, outside of bandwagon fan volume.

well, coming into the season, they look absolutely terrible on defense personnel-wise.

...and offense..... and in ownership.... and age.... and injuries.....there are zero parallels lol

The Lakers are just in a horrible spot. The cowboys lost a good defender. That's it. The Cowboys still have studs all over the offense.

Even if you wanted to compare Kobe to Tony Romo... who was OL? Demarco Murray? Dez Bryant

So your basically saying the Lakers will start the first half of the season strong and then chit the bed in the second half? A first round exit in the playoffs as well?

I don't see how the Lakers and Cowboys are comparable at all here....they're both have famous cheer leading squads?

The Lakers are done this season, they're in the west, they're lotto bound. Even if Bryant is as good as he was when he broke his anus, it's not going to change anything.

1) Awful coach

2) No center....(they're playing Jordan Hill lul)

3) Worst defensive backcourt with both Bryant and Nash on the court. Even with Lin and Bryant on the court, it's still probably the worst defensive backcourt since Bryant is as bad as Harden when it comes to defense at this point.

4) Injury prone and old. Nash, Boozer and Bryant - 2/3 of those guys will miss significant amount of games.

5) Best player who isn't Bryant (assuming Bryant is actually back to form, and not washed up) would be Jeremy Lin...lol.

6) A bunch of ball dominant players, their offense will be nearly as chitty as their D. Lin needs the ball, Nash needs the ball, Bryant needs the ball, Boozer needs the ball, Randle (if he even gets to play) needs the ball. If they don't have the ball, then most of these players are not worth even a 10th of their contract.

Not like the Cowboys at all. Cowboys get a lot of hate, but it's not like people thought Cowboys would be bottom feeders this season, and the Cowboys actually had talent coming into this season. The Lakers have no real talent.

Came into this thread hoping people would call OP an idiot, leaving somewhat satisfied.

Lakers will be a solid 35 win team this year, good for about 11th in the western conference.

It's not gonna happen but it's a lot more unrealistic in basketball because it's an 82 game season. 82 games is a pretty big sample size, as opposed to in the NFL when can easily fluctuate 5+ wins with mostly the same roster from year to year. We can't win less than 30 games, I mean last year's team was dreadful and we still managed to slap together 27 wins.

OP: "Cowboys are on pace to win 14 games this season. I see the Lakers finishing the season with a similar win total."
