Say what you want about punters/kickers being real football players, but the kicking game wins or loses games every week at every level of football. Punters dropping 60 yard bombs inside the 10 yard line to flip the field or placekickers hitting 50 yard FGs is hnnnnnng to me.

Go outside and see how far/high you can kick a football. The punter on my high school team could maybe kick it 50 yards and often struggled getting xp's through the uprights. Then get a load of how easy these brahs make it look. Every bit as impressive as a 98mph fastball or 4.3s 40 time.

LOL if you thinking punting wins or loses games. All special teams put together are not nearly as important as offense or defense.

Field position through punting helps to win games all the time.

There's a big difference for an offense to start at their own 5 compared to their own 20.

Sure it helps. But it doesn't win or lose games like offense and defense. Kickers (and ESPECIALLY punters) don't lose games unless they pull a Matt Dodge (and even then it's not exclusively them).

FGs decide games all the times and so does field positioning. No one is saying special teams>defense and or offense. But it's important.

If a team loses game 56-55 that's on the defense. You don't blame the offense for not putting up 57.

Of course what happens at the end of the game matters too so

Kicking field goals is fun lol. Would always be out fukking around a few hours before a home varsity game on Friday seeing who can kick from where just bullchitting around. GOAT moment was nailing a 40-yarder from the right hash mark lol barely made it over the bottom bar

It happens a lot more than you think. Just last week Buffalo won by 3 points in a game where Alex Henery missed all 3 attempts for the Lions, followed up by Dan Carpenter hitting a 58-yarder on the last play of the game to win the game. Right there you had both extremes in one game: one bad kicker costing his team the win, and a good kicker winning the game for his team by making a very long attempt.
