View Full Version : Airstrikes on IS = Fail.

1) Airstrikes will not have an impact on the organization. It will not kill enough of them to hamper their progress (See: Gaza, Hezbollah, any firsthand military account of heavy shelling prior to infantry advance "we thought nothing could survive, until we advanced...").

2) Collateral damage = more hate for the US = more recruitment for IS.

3) Obama is waging this war as youtube diplomacy - he's responding in a visceral way to a non-threat. He's done this his entire presidency. He can't help it as he is the quintessential social media president. (Beer summit, trayvon, etc)

4) To win, all IS has to do is survive. A win against the US = huge propaganda coup for IS.

5) Obama himself has stated that IS is not a threat to the US. Some guy getting his head sawed off does not a threat make.

6) This is the US's 13th year of war.

7) IS can and should be fought via proven and effective means: Travel restrictions, black listing, US Treasury anti-terror seizures, intelligence gathering etc

8) Support for action has been drummed up 100% by our retarded US media to whom no american apparently watches, yet we're still taking our marching orders from them.

9) This is a regional issue that should be resolved by Syrians, Kurds, Jordanians, Israelis and Persians.

Would something like the Strategic Hamlet Program work in Iraq? Anyone not in the Hamlet would be considered an enemy and be obliterated.

Things will start to get complicated once the bombing happens in Syria. It's quite surreal how Obama's approach is.

Taliban is going strong for 13 years. Why? Because the US does all the bombing chit on Afghan civilians, they join Taliban to seek revenge and doesn't trust Americans anymore when they promised 'Freedom'.

Even Yemeni tribes are now with Al Qaeda because of the so called Collateral Damage.

So, if the US start their air strikes in Mosul or elsewhere then expect everyone to sympathize with ISIS which lead to no strategic failure for the US.

And huge profits for the military industrial complex. The warfare/welfare state will bloat itself until it suffers catastrophic failure. And when that happens there will be idiots here blaming private industry for all of it.
