I understand what you're saying here. I don't think the younger generation really understands what they are doing. If they do, it's for all the wrong reasons.

I can guarantee that 99.9% of the people who are posting these videos on Instagram/Twitter don't know what ALS stands for. They just see other people doing it and join in to get likes lol. Glad it raised a lot of money though. Then again dat der drought in California...

You realize that the 13 mil (which isn't even that much as far as charities go), has mostly come from a handful of people. Numerous professional athletes, numerous billionaires (who are always looking for a tax write-off) have participated. All they have to show is 13 million?

Average American's aren't donating anything.

Most people are doing it with the mentality of "attention craving first, oh donating is good too so might as ewll throw that in there"
