Hey all,

I'm currently monitoring my food and sports in the MyFitnessPal app. I had a question about something that it's showing me.
The daily calories for me to lose weight is 2035(calculated TDEE*0.8) a day, but whenever I do 30min cardio (burns 404kcal) it tells me that I need to add those to my
daily intake. Is this true? Because it looks like me that if you eat everything back up, you're doing the cardio for nothing.

Can anyone explain this to me? And wether to eat the extra calories or not?

Thanks in advance!

No, don't eat back the calories.
It should already be included in your TDEE calculation.

Estimating calories burned is a largely fruitless endeavor. Hard to estimate; looks like MFP is overestimating by a lot anyway.

Best thing to do is ignore and calories burned and consistently eat a certain # of calories and adjust as needed.

i never use mfp for the cardio/weight lifting and whatnot, just for tracking calories.
