View Full Version : Deceitful calorie surplus?

So... I'm bulking at 2900kcal currently.
aprox. 125 fats / 200-230 carbs / 200ish protein. Love my fats and protein btw that's why they are so high.
Anyway I was gaining about 100-200g body mass daily, it was going well and I could see definite progress when looking in the mirror but I got puffy as well, well I was a bit puffy to begin with anyway but decided to bulk first just so when the times comes to cut I could eat more due to a higher metabolism from the additional lean body mass.
Now recently I have switched my macros a bit, about 160-165 fats / 155 ish carbs / 165ish protein and started loosing weight.
Still at 2900kcal but loosing weight now. Can I still consider this a calorie surplus for building muscle or not!?

Add 10% calories every time you stall so 2900 x %. = 290 calories
Eat 3200 calories basically and see If u stall
