Tonight was legs.

My son Eric at 185lbs can do more, but tonight he felt a pinch in his groin and it f'cked up his workout. He is going to go get it checked out. He said it felt like someone taking their two fingers with their nails and pinching him.

Eric at 5'8" 185lbs 225lbs 2x.

Jason 6' 156lbs (he has gain 8lbs) 225lbs 2x

Proud of these guys they have been consistent.

I've mentioned it before in your threads about you and your sons training BH, that's really cool to see. I really hope to do that with my kids one day.

Congratulations to your sons on their lifts and to you on your coaching

Great depth on those for both of them. You're definitely teaching them the "right" way to do it.

Can't wait until my son is old enough to lift with me! A few more years (he turns 10 in Sept).

My sons are 9 and 11. I can't wait until they can lift with me. Until then they are doing body weight exercises.

How long have they been in the iron game? Was it easy to get them interested? The reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to get my 12-year old son to get started. Thus far, he's just done some medium weight deadlifts and some pullups, but it's like pulling teeth to get him to halfway care at all. I'm not pushing it on him, but it would be great if he eventually wants to train with me (or others)

Yep, my son does his push-ups and I do let him mess around with 5 pound dumbells for curls.

My 6 year old daughter (built like me, poor girl) can actually do a perfect form push-up. (Not a girl pushup). She is crazy strong.

Thanks for the kind words guys much appreciated. I am in my phone and can't multiqoute.

Heat, each one of my boys has a different goal.
John my oldest just wants raw power he is 5'11" 260lbs.
Chris my second oldest wants to up his strength, his build, his endurance and stamina, he trains for boxing. He is 6'1" 163lbs
The two you see in the video (Chris is spotting both of them)
Eric my third oldest wants to have a bodybuilders build
Jason trains for basketball.

Each of them have been training on and off with me since they were in their teens. I got them into physical fitness when they were little boys around 8 to 10 years old.

it's respectable for someone half your size...

too much drama...

you're 205...

come back and show us 405 for 3's...

you'll then get the props you're seeking !

thanks ACC. I always DL last lately. DL was after 4 working sets of leg press and 3 working sets of squats not including warmups. that was my 3rd set of DL. trying to catch up to ID lol. 405x20 reps insane.

did this for my son mostly who is just starting to hit the iron with a strength and conditioning coach to show him the old man is still paying his dues. been at this since 17 with a few years break and time in spent in boot camp/gulf war, etc. etc. not looking for props. not claiming to be strong. if i was i would video myself and post more. been there with 405 for triples at under 200. training for hypertrophy currently. just wanted to check form and share.

Thanks ACC, my youngest son is tall so it is a little more difficult for him to go ATG but his form is good nonetheless.

My 9 yr old has been wrestling and playing football since he was 5. The little dude can bang out push ups and other body weight exercises like a champ. I've been working with him doing pull ups. My 11 yr old just doesn't have the natural ability, drive, etc to excel at the same type of things. I know that it bothers him tremendously to see his younger brother do better than him at most every physical activities. I reassure him constantly but I still see it in his eyes. Working out with them together gets hard sometimes due to that.

And I've met a couple of young girls like yours that are impressively strong at my boys wrestling practices. It's awesome.

Yeah, I actually knew there was something with her muscle composition from a very very early age. I remember her being MAYBE 2 years old and swinging on a bar a few feet off the ground on the neighbor's swing-set. I asked her is she wanted a drink and instead of jumping down--she hung there with one hand took a couple sips from the cup--gave it back to me--then continued to swing back and forth. I'll try and get some vids of her push-ups to post.

I don't have many nice things to say about my parents. In fact, I have a lot of not nice things to say. One thing I can say in the benefit of my pops is that when I was 12 he brought me to the gym and made me squat, and kept doing it.

Years later all I have to thank for my sanity and current well being is that he sparked that fire in me and it's never burned out.
Dads who bring their kids to the gym rock.

Gonna go call mine now and hope he gives me a moment to thank him for doing that before it all turns into Jesus this Jesus that.

Peace. <3

Sorry to hear about your situation, family to me is everything. I have 1 daughter and she is the world to me. I would be crushed if she ever said anything bad about me, but I have been a fortunate father and all my kids love me to death just as I do them.

Hope your phone conversation goes well.
