on why Kershaw isnt the best pitcher in baseball. Or in your case not a top 5 or honorable mention. For a guy who acts like he knows it all when it comes to baseball you sure can be ignorant. Take your time, I want to see a good argument.

Shweezy's top 5 for reference

1. Sale
2. Felix
3. Wainwright
4. Cueto
5a-c. Darvish/Scherzer/Price

But then how come you had Felix as your 2nd best pitcher then? He plays on the west coast and believe me we had this discussion recently. Kershaw should not be penalized when he could easily dominate in another division. He hasnt shown any weaknesses pitching against tougher teams.

Not to mention MLB park factors are fairly close when comparing Sales and Kershaws parks as both pitching friendly.

Chris Sale has semi quietly put up ridic stats this year, especially on the road. Him and Kershaw are 1-2 as of right now in baseball hands fukking down.

I get Shweezy's argument with the division and the climate in LA but Kershaw has also played some decently tough teams on the road this year. (Col 2x, KC and ARZ). Col is 3rd in the league in batting, and KC is 12th.

Colorado got shut down by Kevin Correia yesterday, they're banged up and pretty much on that poverty time even by normal park standards these days outside of Tulowitzki. Royals are trash offensively. Two teams that were playing much better back in April/May. And we all know what happened in Phoenix.

I feel like you specifically trying to piss me off. Not even on the same level! Did you even look at the numbers! Sale has the same whip opp batting average... All while pitching against better offenses in a hitter friendly park. Funny what having to pitch against only 8 hitters does to your numbers! Sale is putting up comparable #'s despite all of the disadvantages mentioned. If sale were pitching in the west coast in the nl people wouldn't even know kershaw's name.

He got rocked by the D-backs earlier in the year. He had an uncharastic game. You can read about it here

I don't think you could have set yourself up any worse there brah.

Everyone has bad games. Thing is thats from last year and hes even better this year. Here's an excerpt from an article:

"Think if you will, for a moment, about Jose Fernandez. What’s impressed you most about the healthy Jose Fernandez? Probably, it’s all the strikeouts, many of them coming on his breaking ball. This year, Clayton Kershaw has Jose Fernandez’s strikeout rate. Now veer off and think instead about Koji Uehara. The most amazing thing, probably, about Uehara is his impeccable command. This year, Kershaw has Koji Uehara’s walk rate. Finally, think about Tim Hudson. Hudson is among the league’s premier groundball specialists. He’s always been armed with a devastating hard sinker. This year, Kershaw has Tim Hudson’s groundball rate. This year’s Kershaw basically had the first three picks in the pitcher ability fantasy draft, and that explains how he’s allowed just 18 runs in ten starts, with seven of them coming in one."

sample size? lol at taking park factors from 1 fuking season when there is so much more data available. dodger stadium is traditionally on the extreme end for pitcher's parks with us cellular on the extreme end for hitter's parks.

also, no noticeable differnce this year? the cell is closer to a top 10 hitters park (form #18 to #9) than the dodgers are to the white sox (from 24 to 18). there is a significant difference between the 2 parks.

I'll give you that but Kershaw has been dominant longer. Expect for his rookie season he has NEVER produced an ERA over 3. Durability is pretty good too.

And while Sale has been dominant he is an injury risk due to his pitching form. I like Sale alot but I give the nudge to Kershaw. Its really personal preference but I believe Kershaw is regarded the better pitcher. And should be.

i hate this argument. you acting like sale is new on the scene. the man has been dominant going on 4 seasons now. that is nothing to turn your nose up at. sale regularly has to pitch against the top offenses in baseball in one of the most hitter friendly parks in the mlb. i think these two factors alone account for any gap between the two. take last year for example, everyone was salivating over kershaw's numbers but ignored that he only faced top 10 offences a handful of times. and top 5 once or twice. not only that his numbers spiked against those top offenses (this was further demonstrated in the playoffs). sale did twice that, at least, and performed better.

kershaw is a great pitcher. he is also in the perfect environment to be dominant in. sale is in the worst environment, but he is dominant anyway. you can think that kershaw is better. and you can be wrong too.

I think they also realized it was pointless to even try contending for the playoffs as long as there was a chance they'd face the pinstripes in the first round again. What's worse is this is their window right now while the Yankees are downright awful and they still aren't capitalizing.

First the Yankees owned us, thats not up to debate. Second, besides 2006 when Liriano got injured which crippled our chances of going anywhere, the Yankees teams were better. Third, Gardy is the fault of a lot of postseason play and they would be better served off with a new manager.

Also, if you fail to realize the Twins have the 2nd best minor league system behind the Cubs your a potato. Poor choices from an ex GM led the Twins to their downfall.

One last thing, I bet the Twins make the playoffs before the Sox do again :)

lmao didnt realize it was cool to hate on the Twins. The Twins really benefited from the Metrodome not going to deny that. It got loud playoff time and game 163's.

One last thing, I bet the Twins make the playoffs before the Sox do again :)

that's fine you can get swept in the first round, again, before the white sox too ;)

on why Kershaw isnt the best pitcher in baseball. Or in your case not a top 5 or honorable mention. For a guy who acts like he knows it all when it comes to baseball you sure can be ignorant. Take your time, I want to see a good argument.

Shweezy's top 5 for reference

1. Sale
2. Felix
3. Wainwright
4. Cueto
5a-c. Darvish/Scherzer/Price

Brah you're getting trolled.

I'm aware.

chris sale as #1 is fukkin embarrassing. weak troll game

not sure what's gayer arguing about baseball or saying that someone is bad when they are really good because that's their idea of "trolling"

Put up Kershaw numbers lmao Sale is a great pitcher but come fukkin on. Kershaw is on another level right now. His curve is the best pitch in baseball and his slider might be second best. Nobody is fukkin with him right now.

dont let shweezy troll you. he knows very little about anything (srs) he is a faux-intellectual and trolls while selecting the dumbest arguments. Even the other pitchers on his top 5 list acknowledge Kershaw as the best pitcher in baseball, along with every baseball analyst. Clearly he hasn't looked up Kershaw's stats away from Dodger stadium and vs. the AL

He got rocked by the D-backs earlier in the year. He had an uncharastic game. You can read about it here

Yeah hes good

They were talking about the best of a certain skill, Sale is very good but hes not known for one particular thing.

Right, right.

Cueto isnt even a top 10 pitcher
