Hi guys,

I am currently fasting (starting from about 8-9pm)and having my first meal of the day around 11-11:30am the following day.

I am planning to train in the mornings (around 6:am).

What bedtime meal do you suggest having which will assist in providing energy as well as recovery for the next morning work out?

Cheers,
Robbie

All the rage seems to be having casein before bed (makes you think how everyone got huge BEFORE the advent of isolated casein protein powders....hmm....) so if you follow that logic, some whey in some yogurt would be good. I on the other hand think you should just eat something. Like some meat and veggies? Sounds healthy, and nutritious!

I just go with a classic bit of chicken and some fruit/veg.

Protip: It really doesn't matter.

Unless your "morning workout" is consisting of copious amounts of endurance cardio.

Shut fuking up.

You need to stop being on spread...

Anyway op my favorite meal to eat before bed is a fresh hot thin crust meatball pizza with tomato mushroom and spinach. I dont indulge very often though

ya man, no **** here. I speak true.Actually no, you have no idea what you're talking about. And for a join date of 2007, what you said amuses me.

I'm a breakfast night person, so I like to enjoy something like this before bed:

However, usually with 10 times the eggs. (But then I'll have something scary-looking smiling at me)

Having such a delicious high cal meal at the end of the day, CAN help with sticking to your target cal intake for the day.

So the implication there is that with only (now) 50 posts since 2007, I must have no experience. Would having a post count of say 10K impress you? One might argue that said person wasted their f***ing lives on a bb forum, when they could have been doing something better with their lives instead of sitting at a keyboard? I dunno, just me I guess.

Having actual knowledge on the topic would impress me.
Having any backing to the claim that you have experience in bodybuilding/fitness would impress me.

One might argue that if you've been here since 2007 that is more than enough time to have learned the basics...which you appear to have failed to do thus far.

I dunno, just me I guess.

So enlighten me. What was so outrageous about my initial statement? Casein before bed (ie. Yogurt with casein powder) in the grand scheme of things makes no difference. Whether someone has whey, a chicken leg, some beef liver, or casein is irrelevant. And THAT'S being ignorant?

One thing casein powder definitely is however is clever marketing.

Your original statement is simply wrong, as others have said its all personal preference.
